Secret signals is an animation with the theme:”The cold war”. This piece is not told linear, but follows a couple of different number combinations. You can see it as a visual version of a Number Station.
A number station is a short-wave radio transmitter trah sends series of numbers or letters. The source of these stations remained unknown but were mostly active during the cold war. Even today it is not clear who send those signals and why they did it. In this graduation piece, every number has it’s own secret sub-theme and every time you hear the same number, a new scene of the sub-theme will be revealed. It is up to the person watching to find out those themes with the help of an encryption book and at the end to be able to watch the films as a whole.
